Error 619 when connecting using a Phone as a Modem

Date Added November 27, 2009 | Print | Show/Hide images

Error 619 'The port was disconnected.' typically means there is an Access Point Name issue or an issue on the carriers end.

Basic Troubleshooting - Always do this prior to more advanced troubleshooting

  1. Verify the phone can browse the internet.
Note If the phone itself cannot browse, this is likely a device/network issue and you should contact your wireless provider.
  2. Pull the battery out of the phone with it disconnected from the computer and power.
  3. Follow the orginal connection setup and verify all the settings are correct.
  4. Restart the Computer.
  5. Test the connection again.
