To setup the internet and picture messaging

*Important* Before following these steps, ensure you have a Blackberry Data Plan on your account. Blackberries typically require this in order to download the service books that configure the settings on the blackberry.

Also, the path to the Options menu may vary upon your personal configuration of the Blackberry. The Options menu may be on the home screen or in any other folder depending on your personal configuration.

  1. Go to the Main Screen of the Blackberry
  2. Select Settings
  3. Select Options
  4. Select Advanced Options
  5. Select TCP
  6. For the APN enter #InternetAPN
  7. For the Username enter #Username
  8. For the Password enter #Password
  9. Press the Menu key (button with the dots) and select Save
  10. Select Service Book
  11. For each item in the list, press the Menu key and select Delete
Note The Provisioning Service Book will not delete, and other may not as well. Ignore these.
  12. Once deleted, go back one to Advanced Options
  13. Select Host Routing Table
  14. Press the Menu key
  15. Select Register Now
  16. A Message, "Registration Message Sent" should appear, select OK
  17. The Blackberry will receive a registration message and new service books
  18. The Internet and Picture Messaging should now be setup.
Note If the Blackberry Data plan was just added, it can take time before this will work. If you do not receive the registration message, try again later.
