How to configure the Picture Messaging on a Apple iPhone

Picture Messaging Setup

This setup is for iPhone 3.0 firmware

  1. Go to the Main Menu
  2. Select Settings
  3. Select General
  4. Select Network Settings
  5. Select Cellular Data Network
  6. Scroll down to the MMS Setup section
  7. For the APN enter #MMSAPN
  8. For the Username enter #Username
  9. For the Password enter #Password
  10. For the MMSC enter #MMSC
  11. For the MMS Proxy enter #MMSProxy:#MMSPort
    The MMS Proxy and Port need to be entered together. ex: 000.000.000.000:0000
  12. For the MMS Max Message Size enter #MSGSize
  13. For the Prof User Agent enter #UserAgent
  14. Exit to the Main Menu and try to send a Picture Message to test
    Note that the settings do not need to be saved. The iPhone saves the settings as they are entered.

Once setup, the iPhone will need to be turned off and back on, or toggle Airplane Mode before the settings will work.
