How to configure the Picture Messaging on a Samsung SGH-F480 (Tocco)

To setup the Picture Messaging

  1. Tap the Menu icon
  2. Tap Messages
  3. Tap Settings
  4. Tap Multimedia messages
  5. Tap Option then tap Create
  6. Tap the Set name box and enter #Profile then tap Done
  7. Tap the Access name box and enter #MMSAPN then tap Done
  8. Tap on the Auth type dropdown and set it to #Authentication
  9. Tap the User ID box and enter #Username then tap Done
  10. Tap the Password box and enter #Password then tap Done
  11. Tap the Protocol and set it to #ServiceType
  12. Tap the Home URL box and enter #MMSC then tap Done
  13. Tap the Proxy address box and enter #MMSProxy:#MMSPort then tap Done
  14. Tap the Linger time (sec.) box and enter 120 then tap Done
  15. Tap on Advanced settings
  16. The Static IP option should be left unchecked
  17. The Static DNS option should be left unchecked
  18. Set Traffic class to Subscribed
  19. Tap Back
  20. Tap Save
  21. Tap the profile just created to activate it
    Note A dot should appear next to the profile
  22. Turn the phone off and then back on for the settings to take effect
  23. The Internet is now setup.
