How to configure the Picture Messaging on a LG KE970 (Shine)

To setup the Picture Messaging APN

  1. Go to the Main Menu
  2. Select Settings
  3. Select Connectivity
  4. Select Network
  5. Select Network Profile
  6. Select New or Options then Edit
  7. For the Name enter #Profile
  8. Set the Bearer to #Bearer
  9. For the APN enter #MMSAPN
  10. For the Username enter #Username
  11. For the Password enter #Password
  12. Select Save


To setup the Picture Messaging

  1. Go to the Main Menu
  2. Select Messaging
  3. Select Settings
  4. Select MMS Message Setup
  5. Select Network Profile
  6. Select Add
  7. For the Profile Name enter #Profile
  8. For the MMSC enter #MMSC
  9. Set the Internet Mode to #ServiceType
  10. For the Proxy IP enter #MMSProxy
  11. For the Proxy Port enter #MMSPort
  12. Set the Connection to the Profile created above
  13. Select Done
  14. Highlight the Profile
  15. Press Options then select Add Activate Settings to activate the profile
  16. Picture Messaging should now be setup.
