How to configure the Picture Messaging on a LG KU990 (Viewty)

MMS APN setup

  1. Go to the Main Menu
  2. Select the icon with four dots at the bottom left of the screen
  3. Select the Settings icon - it looks like a mechanical cog in the vertical tab bar on the right of the screen
  4. Select the Phone settings icon
  5. Select Connectivity
  6. Select Access points
  7. Select the Menu (bottom left icon) then select Add new
  8. For the Connection title enter #Profile
  9. Set Bearer to #Bearer
  10. Set Authentication to #Authentication
  11. For the Username enter #Username
  12. For the Password enter #Password
  13. For the APN enter #MMSAPN
  14. Select Save

 

Picture Messaging setup

  1. Go to the Main Menu
  2. Select Messaging
  3. Select Settings
  4. Select Multimedia Message
  5. Select Multimedia Message Center
  6. Select Add
  7. For the Title enter #Profile
  8. For the MMSC URL enter #MMSC
  9. For the MMS Proxy enter #MMSProxy:#MMSPort
    Note that the MMS Proxy has to be enter in the form of 000.000.000.000:0000
  10. Set the Connection Mode to #ConnectionMode
  11. Set the Access Point to the Profile created above
  12. Press Done
  13. Select Activate
  14. The Picture Messaging should not be setup!
