How to configure the Picture Messaging on a Sciphone Dream G2

To Setup the GPRS Profile

  1. Go to the Main Screen and press L (or tap on the Menu thingy at the bottom of the screen)
  2. Select Browser
  3. Select Data account
  4. Select GPRS
  5. Scroll to any profile and select Edit (Press L or tap Edit)
  6. Tap on Account name and select Edit
  7. For the Account name enter #Profile then select Options then Done
  8. Tap on APN and select Edit
  9. For the APN enter #MMSAPN then select Options then Done
  10. Tap on User name and select Edit
  11. For the User name enter #Username then select Options then Done
  12. Tap on Password and select Edit
  13. For the Password enter #Password then select Options then Done
  14. Tap on Auth. type and set it to #Authentication
  15. Tap on Primary DNS and enter #DNS
  16. Tap on Secondary DNS and enter #DNS
  17. Press Done
  18. When asked to Save? press Yes

 

To Setup the Picture Messaging Profile

  1. Go to the Main Screen and press L (or tap on the Menu thingy at the bottom of the screen)
  2. Select Messaging
  3. Select MMS
  4. Select MMS settings
  5. Select Profiles
  6. Select Add new
    Note Scroll to an existing profile and select OK then Edit profile to edit it
  7. Tap on Profile name then select Edit
  8. For the Profile name enter #Profile then select Options then Done
  9. Tap on MMSC address then select Edit
  10. For the MMSC address enter #MMSC then select Options then Done
  11. Tap on Data account then tap Select
  12. Tap on GPRS
  13. Tap on the profile created above
  14. Tap on Connection type then tap Select
  15. For the Connection type tap on #ConnectionMode
  16. Set Use Proxy to #Proxy
  17. If set to Yes follow the next two steps, otherwise tap Done
  18. For the Proxy address enter #MMSProxy
  19. For the Proxy port enter #MMSPort then tap OK
  20. Tap on User name then select Edit
  21. For the User name enter #Username then select Options then Done
  22. Tap on Password then select Edit
  23. For the Password enter #Password then select Options then Done
  24. Tap Done
  25. When prompted to Save? select Yes
  26. Tap on the profile just created and select Activate to activate the profile
  27. The Picture Messaging is now setup.
