How to turn Silent Mode On or Off on a Apple iPhone

To turn Silent Mode On or Off

  1. On the left-hand side of the iPhone above the volume control is a switch.
  2. Flip the switch down towards the botton of the phone to turn Silent Mode Off
  3. Flip the switch up towards the top of the phone to turn Silent Mode On
  4. With the Vibrate function turned On, the iPhone will still vibrate while Silent Mode is On.

A bell icon with a line through it on the screen will appear when the Ringer is Off.
An Orange dot on the left side indicates that Silent Mode is currently On.
