How to use a HTC Touch Pro 2 as a USB Modem

To set up the Touch Pro 2 as a USB modem

To set up your device as a USB modem, you must first install Windows Mobile Device Center or Microsoft ActiveSync version 4.5 or later on the computer.

1. Go to the Main Screen on the Touch Pro 2
2. Tap Start
   
3. Tap on Programs 
   
4. Tap on Internet Sharing
5. Set the PC Connection to USB
6. Set the Network Connection to the Internet Profile for your carrier.
   
7. Tap Connect
8. Plug the USB Cord into the Touch Pro 2 and the PC
9. Allow 30 seconds for the connection to be established. The phone should show Connected.
   
10. There is no configuration required on the PC.

To end the connection

1. Go to the Internet Sharing application on the Touch Pro 2
2. Tap Disconnect
