AT&T is buying T-Mobile for $39 billion - You will also need to "upgrade" your phone...

by systemAdmin on Mar 21st 2011

If you haven't already heard, T-Mobile US is being bought by AT&T. Also, once the merger is complete, AT&T will be repurposing the T-Mobile 3g towers and all T-Mobile 3g phones will stop working on 3g. According to AT&T this is good for customers and AT&T. I left Verizon to switch to T-Mobile and never even considered AT&T because of all the horror stories as well as their horrible pricing and service. So of course it would be better for AT&T to buy them rather than compete as is customary with large corporations.

Yes, deal means T-Mobile users will need to upgrade: today.msnbc.msn.com/id/42195939/ns/today-today_news/

Obviously, lots of people are against this and hate it. The funniest part is when T-Mobile's facebook makes a post about ANYTHING the only comments they get are of hate against the merger.
